Cereals
Our cereal seed is selected from the AHDB recommended list. We use tried and tested varieties that we know perform well and balance yield, disease resistance, standing power and quality.

Spring Cereals

NOS Gambit
2 Row Barley
Feed
Belter
2 Row Barley
Malting, Feed
This two-way variety has given high treated yields in both the East and the North regions and has a very high yield potential in the West. Belter has high resistance to mildew and net blotch and has given high yields in untreated UK trials. It is a late maturing, short and relatively stiff-strawed variety with high resistance to brackling.

Everlong
Group 4 Wheat

Caledon
Husked Oat
Dublet
Triticale
Dublet is a popular, high yielding spring triticale with taller, but relatively stiff straw, medium maturity, and a high specific weight.
Winter Cereals
Graham
Hard Group 4 Wheat
LG Defiance
Hard Group 4 Wheat
This new variety shows good consistancy across all regions, and seasons. LG Defiance has good disease resistance profile with a Septoria Tritici rating of 6.3 and a yellow rust rating of 8. LG Defiance offers growers the security of Orange Wheat Blossom Midge (OWBM) resistance. It is a taller strawed variety with good lodging resistance and a maturity of +1.

Maize
As well as cereals we also supply high performance Maize seed and fertiliser. We offer full agronomy services and plant protection products to help get the most from your crop.
Maize
A firm favourite of ours, delivering reliable yields and quality forage year
after year. Duxxbury offers very early maturity even if sown relatively late after a spring silage cut or on less favourable site.
A new variety for 2025, from the same proven breeding as Duxxbury. Buxxton allows early maize harvesting without yield or quality compromises.
Exceptional good scores for early vigour improving establishment, rapid plant development means fewer days until true maturity, making an excellent option for later sowing in less favourable conditions.
A new generation of early forage maize bred by RAGT. Pixxon is a farmer friendly variety with the best all-round agronomic characteristics including lodging and disease resistance.

P7179 is an extra early maturity variety suitable for sowing on both favourable and less favourable sites. P7179 is a tall hybrid with early flowering, very high starch content, high grain yields and very good eyespot resistance.
P7381 is an impressive, very early maturity hybrid that combines good early vigour, standing power and eyespot resistance. The very fast stover dry-down aids successful harvest. All this adds up to provide growers with the promise of reliable field performance in wide range of sites.
P7034 is an early maturing hybrid with a dent grain texture meaning: fast ruminal starch degradability, very high whole plant digestibility, starch content and early flowering. Rumen degradable starch is available much sooner after ensiling, significantly reducing slumps in milk yield. Aim to ensile last and feed first.
Arable Silage
Cereal and Legume Mixtures
ArableSilag
The high protein cereal/legume mixtures are grown for ensiling and used as an alternative to straight grass, whole crop cereal or maize. They can be fed alone or as a part of a mixed ration, usually blended with a compound feed. Silage analysis can be undertaken by your feed supplier or nutritionist to determine the best compound feed and mineral package to complement the mixture.
Due to the legume content, fertiliser requirements are lower than that of combinable cereals and due to the mixture of species, agronomy options are limited. There mixtures are competitive and any weed control should be implemented pre-emergence taking into account the range of species in the mix.
Arable silage is spring sown as a pure stand or under sown with ryegrass. Speak to us for more information.
