Growing the Environment
​
Growing for the Environment is a grant scheme available to all eligible farmers in Wales. The scheme supports the growing and utilisation of crops, which can result in improvements in the environmental performance of a farm business.

We are able to provide products and support relating to the following scheme options:

Op3: Protein Crops (no weed control)

Op4: Unsprayed Root or Forage Crop with ungrazed field margins

Op5: Unsprayed spring sown Cereals

Op6: Unsprayed spring Cereals under sown with Mixed Ley

Op7: Unsprayed Cereal and Protein Crop mix

Op8: Unsprayed Cereal and Protein Crop mix under sown with Mixed Leyy

Op9: Under sowing Maize (spring / summer sown)

Op10: Unsprayed spring Cereals under sown with Red Clover

N.B We will support Autumn window applications as and when they become available from the Welsh Government
Sustainable Farming Incentive

The Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) has seen some new updates for 2024. SFI aims to help farmers manage land in a way that improves food production and is more environmentally sustainable.
We are able to provide products and support relating to the following SFI 3 year agreements:

Actions for Farmland Wildlife on Arable and Horticultural lLand (AHL1-3)

Countryside Stewardship
​
The main aim of the scheme is to protect and enhance the natural environment by: “increased biodiversity; improved habitat and expanded woodland areas; improved water quality; improved air quality”. The scheme will continue to offer agreements until 2024 alongside the rollout of the new schemes under the Sustainable Farming Incentive.

We can provide a mixture compatible with the GS4: Legume and Herb-Rich Swards scheme.
